Michael Jackson’s remains has been released to his family. The King of Pop’s body was moved from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office to an undisclosed mortuary in Southern California, and was released to his family shortly after 9 p.m. Friday night. The Jackson family has gathered at their home in Encino to plan the pop star’s funeral.
The initial autopsy of the pop star’s body has been completed, the coroner’s office says there were no signs of foul play or trauma to the body. However, more tests are needed to determine the exact cause of death. The tests include toxicology test that could take up to eight weeks to complete. Craig Harvey, revealed that Jackson was taking prescription medications, but no comment was given to specify the drugs.
There are allegations that Jackson was “heavily addicted” to the powerful pain killer Oxycontin and received “daily doses” of it and of another pain killer, Demerol which Jackson received one hour before his death according to reports.
