The Harry Potter Theme Park—AKA The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—is set to open this spring, 2010. Universal Studios unveiled details of the 20- acre Harry Potter Theme Park, faithful to the visual landscapes of the Harry Potter films produced by Warner Brothers, which licensed the rights to Universal after a flirtation with the Walt Disney Company.
Visitors of the Wizarding World will step into a realistic re-creation of Hogmeade village, sip Butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks, eat sweet treats such as Chocolate Frogs and Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans at the Honeydukes, and ride the “flight of the Hippogriff”. All rides, shops and restaurants are based on the blockbuster book and film series. Surely, a great experience in spring awaits all avid fans out there.
