Dennis Hopper Rushed to New York Hospital

ET breaks news that Hollywood icon Dennis Hopper, was taken to a New York hospital on Wednesday afternoon. Sources tell ET that Dennis Hopper arrived in an ambulance at the emergency room of a Manhattan hospital, wearing an oxygen mask and with numerous tubes visible.

Dennis Hopper’s representative, Sheila Feren said that the 73-year-old star of “Easy Rider” and “Blue Velvet” had been suffering from flu-like symptoms and a stomach ailment.


Dennis Hopper, Oscar-nominated for co-writing 1969’s “Easy Rider” and for his role in 1986’s “Hoosiers”, is currently starring in “Crash,” a TV version of the Oscar-winning 2004 film. Where Dennis Hopper plays maniacal music producer Ben Cendars on the drama, which airs on the Starz network.

For now, Dennis Hopper was forced to cancel a number of interviews and TV appearances for this week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and the Today show.
