Nora Aunor’s homecoming derailed by some glitches in comeback projects

MANILA, Philippines – It seems that a few unattended details in her comeback project derailed Nora Aunor’s much-awaited return to the country.

In a “TV Patrol” report on July 20, friends of the veteran actress said that Nora decided to postpone her homecoming due to some details that have not yet been finalized.

With this, the guessing game resumes as to when Nora Aunor would return to the country. As reported, the actress did not arrive at Los Angeles airport to board PAL flight 103 to Manila scheduled on July 19, 10 p.m.

Fans and media personnel actually waited in vain at the airport to see the veteran actress off en route to the Philippines.

“Everybody’s waiting for her comeback,” Liberty Salazar said in a news clip report on “TV Patrol,” July 20.

The “TV Patrol” report also said that Nora’s name was included in the July 21 Manila arriving passenger’s manifest.

Meanwhile, friends of the veteran actress shared their concern for Nora, who’s been living in the US for eight years now.

Writer Chito Alcid feels Nora should change her attitude towards work. “‘Yung utak niya idiretso niya. Maging professional [siya] so she can be a productive person dahil nag-iisa siyang Superstar,” he said.

In her recent interview during a despedida party put together for her by friends in the US, Nora shared how she misses her fans in the Philippines.

Alam nila ‘yon. Lalo na’t uuwi ako… hay naku, sarap,” she said.

The “TV Patrol” report said that the Philippine Airlines staff would not divulge if Nora had re-booked her flight to July 27.

News of Nora’s return to the country reached feverish pitch when a despedida party in her honor was reported on “TV Patrol” on July 18.
